The Student Activity Center (or Student Activities Center according to the plaques up commemorating the building) opened in 2008 as part of a massive project to turn 333 East Campus Mall into a student services tower. The project included $17 million in student-segregated fees to help create a space for student organizations, ASM, WSUM, StudentPrint (now the RSO Print and Resource Center).
